A naming ceremony for a child is still the most special celebration of a new life and is the civil equivalent of a christening.
Naming ceremonies can be conducted by myself at a venue or location of your own choosing. It can be as short or as long as you wish using your own special words to express your hopes, dreams and pledges for your child`s future. If the child is lucky enough to have grandparents or special adults then they too may make promises to assist in the upbringing of the child.
In order to incorporate all these aspects I have put together a formal ceremony with all the options. You may wish to include music, readings and poems within the ceremony and because there is no legal aspect to the ceremony you are not tied to a particular venue or words
Children can be of any age and the ceremony could also be seen as a time to include older children who did not have a naming ceremony when they were younger. It can also be a time when new step children, or an adopted child can be welcomed into the new family.
